Where did you get the information that Henry will be the next council president? I spoke to a member of council earlier and he said that Henry was going to be vice-president.

There is no need to be specific with my sources but I will say that late Sunday night the information was already circulating in Phoenixville.

The validity will be checked on January 7th.

That aside, Anonymous, do you have an opinion about Wagner in the president's seat?

As Ken states in his blog, I expect Henry to provide a better means of communication on the Borough website (like an email address), unless he wants all of the Phoenixville citizens to start stopping by his house to chat.

But there is a need to be specific. Without doing so, you personally are creating rumors. Checking it with a fellow Republican website, does not mean you are checking the validity of it.

Fitzy, in all my years of involvment with and observation of the political world, Wagner's removal of his telephone number and email address from the public is among the most bizzarre.

Public officials SERVE the public.

The unavailable two main methods of contact basically removes Wagner as being in service to the community.

To expect the public to write a letter, stop by his home, or wait to see him is the height of arrogance and displays a lack of concern for those who voted him into office.

Council members must be available in order to actually represent their constituency.

This flagrant disregard of public opinion should send a clear message to the Middle Ward voters in the next election.

Anonymous, I will not reveal my sources.

If the information is incorrect, I will stand corrected and my sources will have lost credibility.

And, for the record, I am a registered Democrat and have been all my life.

If, Anonymous, you check Ken's Watching Phoenixville website, you'll notice, as with mine, the time and date stamps of all posts.

My original thread on Council's reorganization was posted at 2:18 p.m. on December 31, 2007, and Ken's thread was placed at 6:14 p.m.

The information appeared in this blog almost 4 hours earlier.

Karen, don't bother replying to anonymous. All he/she/it wants is an argument. Your sources are your sources, and since it has been argued in Phoenixville that blogs are a form of journalism, you have every right to keep your sources confidential.

I'm sure this is the same 'anonymous' who tried to start a pathetic argument with you on here several months ago, asking you to disparage your fellow candidates.

To Anonymous: YAWN! Your schtick is getting lame.

Henry's e-mail address was: Henryaw@bellatlantic.net

A check of that address reveals it has been temporarily disabled. Guess he gets too much mail.
