KIWANIS CHICKEN BBQ TO BENEFIT DESTINATIONS PROGRAM

KIWANIS CHICKEN BBQ TO BENEFIT DESTINATIONS PROGRAM

We all have dreams. Some dream of starring on Broadway, some dream of walking on the moon and some have the simpler dream that some day they will be able to attend college.

The Destinations With Direction Program at the Phoenixville Area High School gives students with high academic potential the opportunity to explore that dream – attending college.

Not only does the Destinations program, developed by PAHS Assistant Principals Craig Parkinson and Amber Gentile, put students on the right path for their future by promoting academic achievement and a sense of self-worth, it puts them on the bus for a three-day college tour to prove to them that yes, they can further their education.

In order to help these students, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend college, the Destinations program needs your help! Proceeds from this year’s Kiwanis Chicken BBQ – a delicious meal of chicken with all the fixins – which will be held during Community Day in Reeves Park on October 4, will go to Destinations. Tickets are $9 each and can be purchased by contacting
