Did you get....

....your bread, eggs, and milk?*

If you haven't by the time you read this post, you may have to ration your staples for the day.

Earlier this evening, local weather forecasters predicted the nor'easter gaining momentum up the eastern coast for Saturday would be the largest December storm in 10 years.

By the top of the 11 o'clock evening news broadcast the totals for the area apparently range from 6 inches up to 18+ inches of the white stuff perhaps breaking December snowfall records back to 1976.

However, during the weather segment, Channel 6 reporters suggested this snow storm has the potential to become one of the biggest snow storms ever!

As always, Phoenixville's municipal employees will be hard at work clearing the streets, but, please don't go out on the roads unless you absolutely need to make the trip.

Stay home, play in the snow, have fun, and stay safe!

*Why do people by bread, eggs, and milk whenever snow is on the way?

What do you make, bread pudding or french toast?

Don't mean to hijack but isn't an analysis and comment on the newly approved budget worthwhile?

You just gave me the idea to make french toast. I was going to have frozen waffles!

Anonymous 12:04 p.m., I'll post an open thread.

On there the new budget can be discussed amongst other issues.

LOL, 12:06 p.m.!

I've got some great artisan bread in the kitchen, so I may just do the same!

Maybe I'm weird, but French bread sucks.

No, but I did get out to O'Grady's for breakfast this morning.

And so far I've shoveled the driveway and sidewalks 3 times today and it's still snowing (8:10PM).

And what will the 'morrow bring? Another filled driveway and sidewalk with wonderful (?) snow.

And of course, the end of the driveway pile high with snow (what a dirty 4 letter word) courtesy of the Borough of Phoenixville.

Now I'm jealous, Ed Jones! ;)
