PHOENIXVILLE — The Phoenixville Area Middle School sixth grade chorus has moved into the final round of B101's Christmas Choir Competition.
The choir is competing in Division 1 for student musicians in grades K to 6. It is directed by Amy Darby.
The choir recorded a version of "Jingle Bells" that was played for the competition on 101.1 WBEB FM and which will be played during the morning radio show on Thursday starting at 7 a.m.
For the choir to win, listeners must log onto www.B101radio.com and vote for the Phoenixville chorus. Voters must first sign up using a valid e-mail address before voting. One vote is allowed daily for each registered e-mail address.
If the choir wins its division, it will receive $5,000 for the school's music program. The winning choirs from each division will perform with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
