I'm very disappointed by the very low turnout for the primary election.
I deliberately waited until 4 p.m. to vote, and at that late time of day, I was only #44.
Apparently, from reports I've received, voting is light all over the borough.
After a record breaking Presidential election high in November, this dismal turnout may be record breaking, too.
VOTE!
The polls are open until 8 p.m.
According to the Chester County website a little after midnight:
Looks like Jan Potts and Betsy Ruch are 1 and 2 for both Rs and Ds. Dr. Dan Cushing was a very strong 3rd with the Rs. Thornton Johnson was a very close 3rd with the Ds. Josh Gould was 4 with both Ds and Rs, doing very well with the Rs with Jackson, Johnson and Kelly trailing signficantly with Republican voters.
Anyone who attended a forum with the candidates can not help but think that except for the top 2 candidates, these results may have been quite different if the public had seen the forums or if this race had received OJR time and attention in our local paper.
